An innovative vehicle solution for efficient and safe in-line pipe rehabilitation!<\/strong><\/p>\n

Here we present a specially developed water bath trailer<\/b> used in trenchless pipe rehabilitation<\/b>. This robust vehicle, with a gross vehicle weight of 8.9 tonnes<\/b>, has been specifically designed to facilitate the storage and temperature control of resin-impregnated liners<\/b>.<\/p>\n

In what is known as sleeve lining or liner rehabilitation<\/b>, a synthetic resin-impregnated plastic sleeve is inserted into damaged pipes for drinking water, gas or wastewater. The liner is pressed against the pipe wall using compressed air and then cured using UV radiation<\/b>. This creates a seamless pipe-in-pipe system<\/b> that effortlessly overcomes gradients, offsets and bends. The curing process can be significantly accelerated by heat or steam<\/b> \u2013 a decisive advantage for short rehabilitation times.<\/p>\n

However, before the liner is installed, it must be stored away from UV light and in a cool place<\/b> to prevent the resin from curing prematurely. This is precisely where the new water bath trailer<\/b> comes in: the flatbed trailer\u2019s body, with a volume of over 7m\u00b3, is fully lined with a pool liner fitted with a drain. A tarpaulin canopy with a sliding cover provides protection from light. Roller blinds are fitted at the front and rear. On site, the low-loader, which is registered as a work vehicle, can be filled with ice or water. After being impregnated with synthetic resin, the InLiners are pulled from the lorry onto the trailer and stored temporarily in a cool, light-protected environment. They are then fed via the shaft at the rear into the cleaned pipe section to be rehabilitated, which can be up to 200 metres long, and pressed against the sewer using compressed air. The low-loader ensures optimal storage conditions and guarantees that the resin systems retain their workability right up to installation.<\/p>\n
